CARDIO : WHAT WORKED FOR ME

During the 1rst program, my cardio was essentially running sessions at the gym: I started by running 20 minutes, then I was off to do few abs and thigh machines.
Then I quickly increased my race time to run 50 minutes. The first time I done this, my God, I restrained myself from crying, I was so proud ! And when my body couldn't push that far, I did not put pressure on myself : I would run for only 30 minutes, then I would fast climb 20 minutes (you would be surprised how difficult it is! And it strengthened your butt!)

Then I got fed up of running and I saw videos of coach Shaun-T and his incredible program called INSANITY.

And what a program : HIIT videos of, at least, 40 minutes (stretching included), where you sweat all the water of your body.
Shaun-T does the exercises with you, and with fited girls and boys all around him, who also suffer. And you see them suffer, so much, that you say "COME ON GIRL !!! YOU'RE NOT ALONE IN THIS SHIT !!! " ... And it motivated me even more.



When I did not have the strength to do such a cardio session, I was doing skipping rope ... but without a rope ! I put on my music, and I jumped for 1'30 in all directions (joined feet, crossed legs, raised knees, butt kicks, sprint ... in other words, you must jump jump jump!). Then I was resting for 15''.
And I repeated this 19 or 24 times.

I love it too! Because I had the sensation of dancing, while making my whole body work. Note that the skipping rope is a very complete cardio. And for even more results, move your arms at the same time! Upwards, asides, punches, ... It makes your cardio going even faster.


 
What about the frequency of my cardio ?

During the 1rst program, I respected the program, namely : two sessions a week and one extra if I had lost against food ... I did not feel capable of more, I had no desire of doing more. I did not enjo exercising yet. I did it because I had to do it.

During the 2nd program, same story until half of it. Eventually I added jump rope after my TBC sessions twice a week, because I wanted to. I had such an energy ! And finally, the last two weeks of the TBC2, I enjoyed exercising so much that I did cardio 6 days out of 7 !!!
